II.3 U-Boot Mod by hanwckf
Back up the system partitions before making changes.
- The only major drawback of U-Boot Mod is that stock manufacturer firmware cannot be upgraded through the web interface; it must be flashed from U-Boot Mod.
This U-Boot Mod can boot stock ROM without returning to the original bootloader.

Basic procedure:
- Download the latest release. The archive contains
mt7981_ax3000t-fip-fixed-parts-multi-layout.bin. - Enable AX3000T SSH using this guide .
- Log in over SSH and use SCP to copy
mt7981_ax3000t-fip-fixed-parts-multi-layout.binto the router's/tmpdirectory. - Flash U-Boot Mod:
Entering U-Boot Mod is similar to Xiaomi recovery mode: unplug the router, hold reset, reconnect power, wait about 10 seconds, set the PC to 192.168.31.100, and open 192.168.31.1.
