The 7DR7299 is a device where uplinks matter more than a Wi-Fi headline: it has 10G SFP+, 10G Ethernet, four 2.5G ports, and two 1G ports. Its chip configuration suggests headroom, but aggregate throughput still depends on the data path and firmware.

How to read the hardware

I do not infer aggregate throughput, temperature, or OpenWrt support from a chip name alone. For a switch, separate port count, uplink type, and simultaneous forwarding. For a router, separate the radios, CPU, memory, flash, and hardware revision. When the source does not measure something, I leave it unknown instead of filling the gap with a guess.
